The first workshop (20th – 21st Nov 2024) introduces machine learning-based modeling and analysis of offshore wind turbines, focusing on monopile-type structures. Participants will learn the principles of turbine operation, engage in detailed modeling sessions using OpenFAST, and explore aerodynamics, structural dynamics, and hydrodynamics. The workshop will also cover machine learning techniques to enhance simulation accuracy and efficiency.

The second workshop (22nd Nov 2024) includes a session on signal analysis, processing, and condition monitoring.

By the end of the workshop, attendees will have gained a comprehensive understanding of how to leverage both traditional simulation tools and cutting-edge machine learning techniques to address the challenges of offshore wind turbine modeling.
